Great job if you have already filed your 2024 U.S. Individual Tax Return! For most individual taxpayers, the tax filing and payment deadline is Tuesday, April 15, 2025. If you are a U.S. citizen or resident alien residing overseas, you are allowed an automatic 2-month extension until June 16, 2025 to file.
If you need to file an extension, more information can be found here: https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/extension-of-time-to-file-your-tax-return.
Please remember that although you can extend the due date for filing your tax return, no extension is granted for tax payment. Penalties and Interest may be assessed on any unpaid tax that remains unpaid after the original due date of the return.
